2026 Revive Outdoors Fundraiser Squirrel Tournament Rules

Hunt date - September 26, 2026

Two (2) people per team.

All Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) regulations must be followed. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

Every participant must hold a valid Alabama hunting license (resident or non-resident small/all-game license) as required by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR).

Team captain must attend the rules meeting the night prior to the event. (9/25/2026 4-6PM)

$100.00 Entry fee per team by division. Youth hunters will not pay an entry fee. All entry fees must be paid by the conclusion of the rules meeting. No walk up entries allowed.

Optional โBig Squirrelโ prize $50.00 per team. Single largest squirrel by weight wins the prize. Both divisions (Rimfire/Pneumatic and shotgun) will compete for the โBig Squirrelโ prize. *Youth hunters will not be eligible for this prize.

Tournament will take place rain or shine.

Tournament hours - sunrise till 2:00 PM

Team captain must be checked in at the event tent prior to 2:00 (with all squirrels) or team will be disqualified.

Rimfire/Pneumatic Division - Scoring Breakdown
-
Each team may score/weigh-in up to 16 squirrels (2 person limit)

Single shot forward of the front legs (entrance and exit) - 2 bonus points
-
Single shot behind the front legs (entrance and exit) - 1 bonus point
-
Multiple shots - 0 bonus points (weight will count in overall score)

Total score determined by combined weight of squirrels and bonus point tally.

Total score will determine team standings

Scoring disputes will be settled by the tournament committee via majority vote

In the event of a tie, a coin flip will be used to determine the winner

Shotgun Division
-
Each team may score/weigh-in up to 16 squirrels (2 person limit)

Total weight of squirrels will determine winner

In the event of a tie, a coin flip will be used to determine the winner

Youth Division
-
Each youth may score/weigh-in up to 8 squirrels (1 person limit)

Total weight of squirrels will determine winner

Youth may use legal weapon of choice

In the event of a tie, a coin flip will be used to determine the winner

Tournament Committee will consist of Jason Wilson and four (4) team captains from each division drawn from a hat at the rules meeting.

All team captains are responsible for collecting squirrels after weigh-in and removing them from the tournament site.
